Default Should i start over?

I have just started playing Guild Wars and i currently have a lvl 6 w/m. Since i had no clue what i was doing, when i was lvl 4 i completed the mission that took me to the 2nd part of the game. People are telling me that i have missed on alot. I just want to know if it is really going to hurt me in the long run? Also im having trouble finding more warrior skills. I can buy some of my secondary professions skills but cant find any first ones. Also im not sure what to put my attributes into. I have decided to go with the hammer mastery.

pffft, pre searing is boring, you didn't miss out on anything. there's nothing pre searing that you can't get post searing. i'd suggest just moving on.

the first thing you should do is do a "search" on this forum and look up some warrior/monk builds and base them off your hammer. 2nd, it would be smart of you to read any info on the 2 classes to get a good idea of how you can create a build according to your playing style. this will allow you to come up with some kinda pvp or pve build, seeing how i have no idea what kinda build your aiming for, i cant really give any insite. but, i can say this, concentrate on 3 attributes, dont spread out, in your case, it would be, IMO, str, hammer, healing prayers, at least thats what i would go for right off.

but i strongly reccomend doing a search on this forum to get the info your looking for.

The only thing you missed was the opportunity to level up (up to level 7) against easier creatures. Which, you already said you were 6... so you missed nothing.

Ok the only Skill Trainer that I've come across so far in Post-Searing is in Ascalon City, since I haven't gotten too far yet. He doesn't offer it but could that be because I already have it? Just curious in the event that I create another character and somehow forget to get it before entering the academy.

I was able to buy it in Ascalon post-searing, maybe only if you do not already have it?

Correct. The ONLY skills that show up on ANY vendor are ones you can BOTH:

a) Actually use for your 1 or 2 professions

AND

b) do NOT already have.

This way it does not clutter things.

I believe you did nothing wrong. However you did miss a lot, if you want to do all of it, (which you should) make a new character and play it. Otherwise your as good as new.

True but one quest does offer a skill point as a reward
Edit:Btw its nice to do but not really needed, nothing to delete your character for if you're happy with it, I rushed through like half the missions then left the rest :P

I disagree I just went and did(and still am doing) my first character on a play and go basis, too much planning and thinking ruins a game(any game) I would suggest this to anyone as well, i'm playing through the game just to learn as much as I can, with a game such as this with a level 20 cap theres no point in planning your first character when itll be pretty much done in 100 hours

Same with rule books, i've never once read a rule book to learn how to play the game I play until i've learnt as much as I reasonably can and then i'll look at it, it makes the game that much more enjoyable cause everything is new and different

Anyone with 2 brain cells should be able to figure out most things on thier own although some things you'll miss but it doesn't in any way make the game unenjoyable if you're doing anything horribly wrong someone will know and tell you
